PIVOT LAUNCHES VOLT SPORTS TOUR WITH 2ND ANNUAL SUP FEST
TAMUNING - PIVOT LLC, a creative, design and event production agency, will kick off its all-new VOLT Sports Tour event lineup, starting with the SUP Fest Paddleboarding Competition, according to PIVOT marketing director Kelli Wedd.
“The purpose of VOLT is two-fold,” explains Wedd. “Not only will we be creating and producing our own signature events like SUP Fest, KONQER and more, we will also collaborate with event partners to curate and market other events on Guam and throughout the Asia Pacific region. The VOLT Sports Tour will replace the XTERRA Island brand and expand on its mission of creating opportunities to stay healthy and active.”
Kaz Endo, PIVOT’s chief creative evangelist, has been working with his team to improve on previous events, like the KONQER Obstacle Course Race, as well as creative new events, such as the RAW: Guam’s Strongest Man Contest.
“We've taken all the knowledge from last season's experience and evolved them to what we hope will be enjoyed even more by our fans,” said Endo.
The second annual SUP Fest Paddleboarding Competition will be held on Saturday, June 11 at 10 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Guam, with multiple divisions geared for stand-up paddleboarders of all skill levels. The event will feature two board classes for both male and female divisions in 500-, 1000- and 2000-meter distances, as well as a three-person relay race and a 250-meter race for junior paddlers ages 11 to 17. In addition, there will be free races and activities for kids 10 and under.
Multiple registration packages are available at voltsportstour.com, and all competitors will receive a limited edition Hafaloha shirt and 20 percent off all food & beverage outlets at the Hyatt. Paddlers also have options to include an all-day pool pass and a poolside lunch buffet as part of their registration package. Registration is available online only and will be open until Friday, June 10 at noon.
SUP Fest is sponsored by the Hyatt Regency Guam, SUP Shack Guam, TriVision Media Group, Benz Sign Supplies and Paradise Awning.
VOLT will also host the inaugural RAW: Guam’s Strongest Man Contest on Aug. 13, and is actively recruiting interested competitors via voltsportstour.com. Applications will be limited to the first 100 and will go through a selection process to arrive at 25 final competitors. All applications must be received no later than June 15.
