Tamuning, GU — The first race of the 2017 KONQER Obstacle Course Circuit will take place on June 10-11 in Palau, and early bird registration rates are still available, according to PIVOT marketing director Kelli Wedd.

“We’re starting off the 2017 circuit strong with our two-day event in Palau, which will be one of the most unique and beautiful KONQER courses to date,” explained Wedd. “Day one of the course will take participants to Peleliu, where they will enjoy an off-road trek through the historic Bloody Nose Ridge and some of the region’s most picturesque beaches. Day two will take place on Koror, where the athletes will challenge themselves on KONQER’s signature 15 manmade obstacles as well as 10 additional localized challenges.”

The 15 signature obstacles will be part of all of KONQER obstacle course challenges, which will allow athletes that participate in the entire circuit to be timed and record personal bests. The top-performing athletes for the manmade obstacle courses from Palau and Saipan will be invited to KONQER Guam to compete for the title of Ultimate KONQER Warrior.

Athletes may choose to do with day one or day two only, or the entire course, which includes boat transportation with snorkel tours and a beachside barbecue. While not required, participants may put together teams of up to 20 people to go through the course, and both timed and completion divisions are available. Registration and full course details are available at

Discounted flights are available via United Airlines and special room rates are being offered at Palasia Hotel in Koror. Visit for more details, or contact Palau Visitors Authority at (680) 488-2793 for assistance with travel and accommodations.

“If you’ve been meaning to make the trip to Palau, this is a great time to take advantage of the deep discounts on flights and hotel stays,” said Wedd. “Not to mention the chance to help kick off the 2017 KONQER season with one of the most exciting and stunning courses yet.”

KONQER Palau is presented by Palau Visitors Authority and Bank of Guam. For more information, contact Kelli Wedd, PIVOT marketing director, at, or call 646-4448.
